About Napua

Napua Greig-Nakasone

Aloha mai kakou e ko Maui Nui.

With the support of family and friends, I humbly ask for your consideration to serve as your Upcountry representative on the Maui County Council.

Born and raised in Upcountry, Maui to Jay Kiyoshi Nakasone and Carmen “Hulu” Lindsey, I consider myself fortunate to call Maui home.  My hope is to have the opportunity to continue to serve through the council, and be an active participant in preserving what is great about Maui, making it an even better place to live, work and raise a family.

I believe I have the experience, knowledge and commitment needed to do the best job possible on your behalf, and I hope to continue to listen and learn about ways we can work together to maximize the potential we collectively possess as a community.

“In the same way I’ve been blessed by this woman, itʻs time for MAUI to experience her courage, commitment, unwavering and enduring aloha for our Maui.  Nāpuaʻs dedication, hard work and sacrifice is a constant reminder to me, that she makes the impossible….possible."

Walt Tokishi, Kahului, Maui

"Iʻve witnessed Napuaʻs growth and her love for family ever since she was a child. I am certain she will carry forth this attribute as a Maui County Councilmember.  Napua takes on issues in all arenas of her life and effectively resolves them.  Her intelligence and mindfulness partnered with her true love of family and love for Maui Nui will greatly facilitate Napuaʻs ability to be an effective member of our Maui County Council."

 Fred Acopan, Wailuku, Maui

“My family and I have known Napua since she was a teenager, and what has always impressed me is her honesty and humility.  Napua will always give you an honest answer.  You might not always like it but you have to respect her honesty and humbleness.”

Build Support:

The organizing being done by grassroots volunteers across the country is creating momentum and changing the conversation on important issues—and you have an important role to play in growing this movement.

Asking people in your community to sign on to show their support for an issue that matters to you is one of the best and easiest ways to raise awareness locally, and to bring more voices to a cause.

It's easy to get started, too—you can work as a group with friends and neighbors, or you can take action on your own.
